It was a tough end of the weekend for Pharr Police last night, after a drive by shooting left one 14 year-old boy dead and two other adults injured.

Pharr Police said around 11:30 p.m. Sunday they responded to the 200 block of West Longoria. When they arrived on scene they came upon a tragic sight, three unsuspecting individuals had been shot. A 27 year old male, a 14 year old male and a 30 year old female.

The 14 year old was pronounced dead on scene. The two other victims were rushed to McAllen Medical Hospital. The 27 year old was shot twice, one bullet hitting his left forearm and one hitting his left thigh. The female was also shot twice, both wounds in her buttocks.

The victims names are not being released at this time, but police said the male and female in the hospital are both in stable condition.

Those on scene told officers that the victims were standing outside of a home, the older victims drinking alcohol, when a red, four-door Honda pulled up with three men inside. The men in the Honda opened fire on the victims while shouting a gang related name.

The three men are said to be in their late teens and bald-headed.

Police are still unsure of the male suspect's motive.

This offense is still under investigation and the Pharr Police Department is requesting for anyone that might have information related to this offense to please contact the Pharr Police Department at (956)784-7700 or the Pharr Crime Stoppers at (956)787-8477.
