Department of Public Safety investigators were called to a pedestrian accident that involved an SUV and striking a man who was walking on the road. It was reported that a Jeep Grand Cherokee was traveling down on Old Monte Cristo road when the driver struck a 69 year-old man from Elsa and he was air lifted to McAllen Medical Center with serious injuries.
