A Dozen Burglaries Solved

18-year-old Alberto Rangel was caught by county deputies as he and 3 others burglarized a mobile home on Mile 2 West and Mile 11 North near Mercedes. According to officials, Rangel confessed to investigators that he, 21-year-old Joshua Pedraza and two minors were involved in other burglaries in the area. The suspect took officials to other places the group hit. Rangel’s confession led to the arrest one minor. with his statement, officials searched Pedraza's home, and there investigators found some of the stolen items, along with 92 Ecstasy pills and about 16 ounces of Marijuana.

Rangel is being charged with 6 counts of burglary of habitation. Pedraza is also charged with 6 counts of burglary of habitation but will have extra charges for possession of a controlled substance and Marijuana. As for the teens, they will be charged with 5 counts of burglary of habitation.
