Divers find 1811 wreck of the U.S.S. Revenge, ship commanded by officer who coined famous phrase.

A team of divers believe they have found the wreckage of the U.S.S. Revenge.

The ship, commanded by naval hero Oliver Perry, went down off the coast of Rhode Island in 1811.

The divers showed off video of their find at an event Friday.

Perry, exonerated for sinking the Revenge, found it hard to command another ship, but he eventually did, and went on to battle the British and coin the phrase, "don't give up the ship."

The divers are reaching out the the U.S. Navy and the state of Rhode Island for help and guidance to retrieve what's left of the Revenge.
