The Salvation Army is teaming up with Lone Star National Bank to help fire victims in Bastrop county and here in the Valley.

The bus opened it's door on Monday afternoon and with just a few donations was already almost full. The donations are all going to straight to the victims of the McAllen apartment fire that happened on September 4th. The Salvation Army says they welcome almost any donation you can make and Dr. John Thomas stated, "Toiletries, toothpaste, shaving cream, razor blades, anything that would be, that would help these people to have the bare essentials. We want them to take of that, also clothes and other items as well and there is also an account set up at Lone Star National Bank, if they would like to contribute cash."
