Dogs involved in attack quarantined at animal shelter
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (NEWS CENTER 23) — The more than two dozen dogs, that attacked two elderly women, have been officially turned over to the City of Brownsville. The dogs have been quarantined at the Brownsville animal shelter, since the attack last week, and officials report that many of the dogs are not warming up to people and they will continue to monitor the dogs through next week. At that point the dogs will be determined if they are adoptable and if not they may have to be euthanized. Last Thursday, a 911 call was made that an elderly woman had been viciously attacked by her dogs and was taken to a hospital with severe injuries while her sister was treated for minor injuries.
