Dentist Offering to Buy Back Halloween Candy

Tuesday, October 30, 2012 - 8:25am

Share that sugar and get some green, it's all apart of Operation Gratitude in which Dentist Dr. David Pedly will buy back Halloween candy from children. It's a dollar a pound and the candy is sent to troops serving overseas. Dr. Pedly says while the troops enjoy the candy so will others, "Obviously they get the candy and they like to eat it and it reminds them of home as well, but what they also do is use it to pass out to children in villages they're in and they'll make friends with the kids and if the kids are friendly with them, they'll tell them where the IED's are, the roadside bombs, so not only does it give them a taste of home it can actually save a life."

You can drop off your child's candy and cards at East Price road on Thursday from 5:30 PM  to 7:30 PM and for more information you can contact the office at 956.541.8200.
