Democratic incumbent Henry Cuellar will hold his seat as U.S.. Congressman for Texas District 28, which he has held since 2005, by defeating Republican candidate William R. Hayward from San Marcos, Texas. We asked the Congressman how he plans to improve upon his platform and he stated by strongly focusing on improving education, bettering our health care system and boosting the economy here in the Rio Grande Valley. He says it'll take all of Congress to make improvements, "We have to get together in a bipartisan way to address the huge cuts and tax increases. I've always worked bipartisan and if we do that budget correctly then we can improve education, healthcare, the border security, that's so important in the Valley and border area."
