Death Toll Rises in Pemex Explosion
REYNOSA, MEXICO — The death toll in the pipeline explosion at a Reynosa, Mexico state run oil company is up to 29 people and at least 46 injured and 5 workers still missing. Mexican President Felipe Calderon sent condolences to the victim's families and vowed to make sure those who are injured receive help. President Calderon said the government will carry out an investigation of the cause of the fire and that federal prosecutors will open a probe. The blast and the fire that followed were so powerful they left charred tanks and a pile of mangled steel at the plant.
