Deadly Weekend in the Upper Valley

Three people were murdered in Hidalgo county within the last few days. Sheriff Lupe Trevino tells us this is the deadliest weekend he's seen in a very long time.

Sheriff's deputies spend the entire morning investigating a third murder in Hidalgo County.
Investigators tell us several shots were fired at a mobile home early this morning just south of El Dora and Goolie Rd.

The victim was shot multiple times in the upper torso and later died at a McAllen hospital. Police say the victim is a black male and is possibly from Jamaica or New York. They say the incident was drug related.

"We've seized some drugs, a fairly good amount of U.S currency. Ledgers, numbers all indicate that there was a drug operation in existence, operating out of this house," says Sheriff Lupe Trevino.
 

In a separate incident Police arrested Jose Manuel DeLeon on Sunday for beating a man to death with his bare hands. De Leon was charged with murder early this morning.

Police have issued an arrest warrant for Francisco Javier Gonzalez.. Several witnesses told Police Gonzalez intentionally ran over a teenager in Mission early sunday morning neighbors took the teen to the hospital where he later died.
