Missouri man is killed when his vehicle is hit by another vehicle as the man was helping his grandson with broken down car. Brendaliss Gonzalez reports.
 

(KSHB) A Missouri man was killed while he was helping his grandson whose car had broken down.

The Missouri Highway Patrol says 64-year-old Donald Rippy was parked on the side of the road on Highway 152 late Monday night to help his grandson.

They were both inside Rippy's car when a GMC Yukon veered off the roadway and struck his car.

Rippy was killed, his grandson has minor injuries.

Officials say Anthony Battaglia was the driver of the Yukon and he was not injured.

Battaglia faces multiple charges including possession of a controlled substance and driving under the influence.
