High sales are expected on the biggest online shopping day of the year.
It wasn't the crush of Black Friday shoppers, but millions were online today searching for Cyber Monday holiday bargains.
The Associated Press reports by mid-afternoon online sales were up 20 percent over last year.
By midday, even Google had indications it would be better.
"Today we see searches for Cyber Monday up by more than double what they were last year," said Dan Schock, retail director for Google.
Clothing, jewelry, children's toys and consumer electronics top the list of the most purchased items online.
E-readers and table computers have also seen sales increases and both are being used to assist online shoppers.
