Custom officers seize over $3 million in marijuana at port of entry

U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers at the Progreso International Bridge discovered over $3 million in marijuana.

On Friday, May 3, CBP officers working the commercial importation lot inspected a 1995 GMC tractor trailer hauling a shipment of limes.

The driver was sent to a secondary inspection where officers found 560 packages of alleged marijuana within the shipment and totaling nearly 3,078 pounds.

It is estimated that the valued of the marijuana is approximately at $3,078,800, the driver was arrested, the marijuana and trailer were seized by CBP.
