Custom officers seize $72,000 in marijuana at port of entry

Custom agents, working the B&M port of entry, seized over $72,000 worth of marijuana.

On Saturday, July 6 CBP officers came into contact with Mexican woman, 29, driving a 1998 Ford F-150 and referred the vehicle for a secondary inspection.

Agents examined the vehicle and found found 27 packages allegedly containing marijuana hidden within the vehicle.

The total weight of the packages was estimated at over 72 pounds and a street value of over $72,000.

The woman was arrested and handed over to Homeland Security investigators for further information.
