Custom officers seize $4.3 million dollars in drugs.

Customs Border Protection officers seized $4.3 million dollars in narcotics from hitting Valley streets.

They also arrested three men in the process and also captured a wanted fugitive. At the Gateway International bridge, officers found 39 pounds of heroin inside the drive shaft of a white Dodge pickup. The heroin was estimated at a street value of over $3.9 million dollars.

In the second bust at the B&B bridge, 43 pounds of marijuana was found hidden in the rear walls of a 1998 Pontiac.

The third case occurred at the Veteran's bridge when officers seized more than 10 pounds of cocaine hidden in the bumper of a Ford Taurus with an estimated street value of $320,000 dollars.

The wanted fugitive caught was a woman crossing at the Gateway International bridge and identified as 24 year-old Argentina Joanne Martinez. It was discovered that she had an outstanding warrant by U.S. Marshals for a parole violation and she was transported to McAllen.
