Custom agents seize over $467,000 in cocaine
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers at the Brownsville and Matamoros International Bridge have seized cocaine valued at over $467,000.
On Monday, May 6, agents made contact with a white 2010 Nissan Armada, driven by Mexican citizen, and the vehicle was sent to a secondary inspection.
Custom officers did a search on the vehicle and discovered six packages, of alleged cocaine, hidden within the Armada and weighing over 14 pounds.
Officers estimate the street value of the alleged cocaine is approximately $467,200.
