Custom Agents Seize Meth at Port of Entries
Two people were caught over the weekend trying to smuggle more than $800,000 dollars worth of drugs at a port of entry.
It happened at the B&M port of entry in Brownsville when officers found more than 14 pounds of meth in seven packages. The female driver, from Matamoros, Mexico, was hauling more than $200,000 dollars worth of the drug. A second seizure came that the Progreso bridge when a man from Elsa was stopped with 21 packages of meth hidden in the bed liner of his truck. That shipment weighed almost 40 pounds and officers say the street values is about $590,000 dollars.
