Custom Agents Seize Cocaine at Port of Entry

HIDALGO COUNTY - U.S. Custom agents seized several pounds of cocaine and marijuana at two ports of entry in the upper Valley.

Officers found more than 24 pounds of cocaine hidden in the battery of a Lincoln sedan at the Pharr International port of entry on Saturday. Officials arrested a 22 year-old from Pflugerville, Texas, who was driving the vehicle northbound, from Mexico. A 50 year-old man from Missouri was also placed under arrest after agents seized 63 pounds of marijuana in his Chevy Trailblazer on Sunday.
