BROWNSVILLE - A hefty amount of ammo was seized by U.S. Custom agents at a port of entry during a routine auto dealer inspection.

Agents say their K-9 dog alerted them to the 1996 Ford F-150 truck and when further inspected agents found 50,000 rounds of ammunition. Agents believe the ammo was en route to Mexican drug cartel gangs and an investigation is underway.
