Weslaco police arrest couple accused of stealing trailer

Weslaco police have arrested a couple that allegedly stole a trailer with approximately $50,000.00 worth of merchandise inside it.

On January 8, Weslaco police officers responded to a report of a theft of a small enclosed trailer at America’s Best Value Inn located at 3021 E. Expressway 83. The owner of the trailer reported that he had parked the trailer at the motel parking lot and inside it was approximately $50,000.00 worth of merchandise from his business.

Investigators were able to obtain surveillance video of the crime. After the case was aired in the news media, Weslaco investigators received a tip through the Weslaco Crime Stoppers program. Acting on the tip they were able to recovered approximately $30,000.00 worth of the stolen merchandise and identify two suspects. Those two suspects have been arrested and formally charged with Felony Theft.

Arrested were: Jose Mario Razo, 33 years old, and Rosalinda Trevino Cabrera, 32 years old. Both were charged with Felony Theft and taken before a Weslaco Municipal judge who set their bonds at $100,000.00 (Razo) and $50,000.00 (Cabrera).
