San Juan police arrest four in gang violence incident

San Juan police have arrested several gang members for assault other gang members with a tire iron.

On Monday, July 22nd, in the late evening hours, police received a call about two individuals brutally beaten by four men.

The victims, who were bleeding and appeared disoriented, identified themselves as members of the Sureno 13 gang.

They claimed that members of a rival gang, the Po Boys, had assaulted them at a residence. They provided a description of the suspects, who were reportedly in a white Ford F-150 truck, and investigators were able to locate the suspects at a residence on North Gate in San Juan.

When officers reported that the four suspects had blood on their clothes and body, were questioned and admitted to assaulting the victims with the tire iron.

Police issued a search warrant on the residence and found cocaine, a digital scale and several baggies. All four Po Boy gang members will be charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and engaging in organized crime.

The homeowners at the North Gate residence, who remain at large, will face charges for possession of cocaine.
