San Benito man charged with abusive calls to 911
SAN BENITO, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — San Benito police arrested a man after he called 911 stating he was armed and ready to shoot someone.
On Monday, July 9, at around 10:30 p.m. police responded to a home on the 100 block of Rosita Street in reference to a man calling and telling the 911 operator he was armed with a handgun and ready to shoot someone.
Officers approached the home and made contact with Daniel Romero Jr., 48, who was intoxicated and admitted to calling the 911 because two females were arguing in his home.
Police found no weapon in the home, but did arrest Romero for making abusive calls to the 911 service.
