Police arrest suspected burglar, in his underwear

A Harlingen man was arrested by police officers, in his underwear, after a burglary report at the Cinemark 16 movie theater.

On Saturday, June 1, an officer was flagged down regarding a suspicious male, in his underwear, hiding between vehicles in the theater parking lot.

The officer found clothing, in front of a 2013 white Toyota Tacoma and the passenger door opened, the owner of the truck reported that an unknown suspect had broken into the vehicle and had stolen an Apple iPad from the back seat.

Witnesses state the suspect had fled on foot, but officer were unable to locate the suspect. Several hours later, a man was found sitting slumped over near a pole on Wilson and North Frontage road wearing only his underwear, black socks and a gray T-shirt.

Police were able to identify the man as Nathan Scott Pinkerton, 32, and he was arrested for public intoxication and burglary of a motor vehicle.
