Police arrest bicyclist for possession of marijuana

Harlingen police arrested a teen for possession of marijuana after he was stopped for not having lights on his bicycle.

On Friday, January 3rd around 10 p.m. a Harlingen police officer stopped a teen for riding his bike without any lights, which is required by law, at the intersection of Wilson Road and Hand Road.

During the questioning and then a pat down of the teen, identified as Samuel Gildardo Saenz, 17, 6.3 grams of marijuana was found on him.

Saenz was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana and handed a bond of $500 dollars.
