McAllen police release composite sketch of suspect in stabbing death case

MCALLEN, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — The McAllen Police Department released a composite sketch of person of interest in the stabbing death reported on Friday, February 23, 2013 at approximately 12:15 am.
The victim left his home earlier the evening of his death in a white van marked as a TAXI.
The composite sketch is that of the person last seen with the victim at approximately 11:30 pm in the area of 10th Street and Houston Ave.
The department has reason to believe that the assault occurred at or around midnight the Friday night in the approximate area of 26th Street between Gloria Ave. and Helena Ave.
The department has posted reward for information in this matter. The department is offering a reward up to $5,000.00 dollars for information that leads to an arrest and conviction of the suspect(s) in this murder investigation.
The McAllen Police Department is asking citizens that may recognize the person depicted in sketch, witnessed any unusual activity in the area of 26th Street between Gloria Ave. and Helena Ave., and/or have information about the crime is urged to call McAllen Crime Stoppers at 956-687-TIPS (956-687-8477).
