Gang member arrested for selling cocaine

HIDALGO COUNTY, TEXAS (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — On Wednesday, March 6, 2013, Tactical Patrol Deputies were surveilling an open air drug market just west of Hutto Rd. on mile 9 in Donna, Texas as a result of community complaints regarding street level drug sales.
After observing suspicious activity associated with drug dealing, contact was made with Efrain Perez, 3-13-70, a confirmed Valluco Gang Member.
Efrain Perez was arrested with 67 baggies of cocaine, which was ready packaged for sale.
Efrain Perez was arraigned and bond was set at $40,000.00.
Sheriff Trevino states, “community- Sheriff’s Office interaction is responsible for the arrest of this Valluco gang member drug dealer. This same dealer was arrested just 10 days ago on the same charge. Drug dealing is a major money maker for the Valluco gang, and we are determined to stop them at any cost. Street level drug dealing gives way to burglaries, robberies, and drive-by shooting. We are asking for the public to call us and share information on any street level drug dealer at (956) 668-TIPS.”
