Fugitive, attempting to cross into Mexico, arrested by BP agents
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — U.S. Border Patrol agents arrested a man early Thursday morning who was wanted in the state of Pennsylvania on murder and burglary charges.
David Edick, 27, of Pittsburgh was wanted in the Aug. 31st shooting death of Ryan Beal in Swissvale, Pa.
He was apprehended on a levee, east of the Brownsville, after a remote camera operator spotted what appeared to be illegal immigrant traffic.
Agents responded to the location and apprehended Edick, who was attempting to flee to Mexico with a loaded gun and his vehicle was later located at the University of Texas at Brownsville.
He has been turned over to the Cameron County Sheriff’s Office pending extradition by the Allegheny County Police Department.
