Former Dallas Cowboy player pleads guilty to drug charges
DALLAS, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — Former NFL player, Samuel Hurd, 27, pleaded guilty on April 11th to charges of conspiracy to posses with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
The indictment includes a sentencing notice stating that on or about June 6, 2012, Hurd, while on pretrial release, attempted to possess with intent to distribute cocaine and marijuana.
Hurd, who has been in federal custody since late August 2012, faces a statutory penalty of not less than 10 years and up to life in federal prison, and up to a $10 million fine. Sentencing is set for July 10.
