Father and son arrested in stabbing incident

Police arrested a father and son, on Friday, April 6th in reference to a stabbing on the 1600 block of Sam Houston Street in Harlingen.

Police arrived at the location and were informed by one stabbing victim that a physical altercation had happened with a group of people. During the fight one of the suspects, Jose Martin Ramos Jr., pulled a knife and stabbed one of the victims and then another person,in the group, stabbed a second victim, sending both to the hospital.

Ramos Jr. was arrested for aggravated assault and during his booking process officers found a baggie containing cocaine in his possession.

During the altercation, Ramos' father, Jose Martin Ramos, was arrested for his evolvement in the fight and charged with Disorderly Conduct.

Ramo Jr. was handed a $56,000 bond.
