Ex-husband arrested for assault on ex-wife
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Police arrested a man for assaulting his ex-wife, damaging her vehicle and attempting to flee from officers.
On May 24, officers responded to the 2100 block of E. Van Buren after a woman, the victim, called reporting she had been slapped by her ex-husband, Arnulfo Quintanilla, 45.
The woman reported that she had brought their daughter to see her father and while the daughter showed her dad, Quintanilla, some photos, he viewed a photo he did not like.
The ex-wife told Quintanilla that the photo of flowers, that were sent to her, were from a friend which caused Quintanilla became upset and slapping her.
The mother and daughter proceeded to leave, but Quintanilla backed up his truck into the victims car damaging the front end of the vehicle.
Quintanilla left the area once he saw police approaching and then abandoning his truck on E. 19th fleeing on foot. Police were able to locate Quintanilla and he was arrested and booked into jail.
