Driver, who flipped vehicle 3 to 4 times, charged with 4th DWI

San Benito police arrested a woman for driving with a suspended license and driving while intoxicated, for a fourth time, after she attempted to pass another vehicle.

On Monday, November 11th at 5:45 p.m. police were dispatched to S. Expressway 83 and Resaca overpass in reference to an auto accident.

When officers arrived at the scene, EMS personnel were treating a woman, identified as Jessica Shirley Scripter, 47, who stated to police about the cause of the accident.

Scripter stated she attempted to avoid a passing vehicle when she lost control of her car and flipped it several times

The officer noticed an odor of alcohol from Scripter who admitted to having a couple of glasses of wine and during an ID check it was revealed she had three previous charges of driving while intoxicated.

Scripter was charged with driving while intoxicated, a 3rd or more offense, a third degree felony and handed a $30,000 bond.
