Custom officers arrest wanted fugitive from Raymondville

BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — U.S. Custom and Border Protection officers arrested a wanted fugitive on charges of indecency with a child.
CBP officers working on May 3rd, at the Gateway International Bridge, encountered a man attempting to cross back into the United States.
Officers questioned and then sent him to a secondary examination for verification of a possible outstanding arrest warrant out of Willacy county.
After further inquery, officers were able to identify the man as Jesus Roberto Ortiz, 53, from Raymondville and confirmed of an active arrest warrant for indecency with a child.
CBP officers arrested Ortiz and turned him over to the custody of the Willacy County Sheriff's Office.
