Custom officers arrest man wanted on sexual assault charges
PROGRESO, TX (KVEO NEWS CENTER 23) — U.S. Custom and Border Protection officers, at the Progreso port of entry, arrest a man wanted on charges of sexual assault.
On Tuesday, September 10th officer came into contact man, later identified as Jesus Manuel Torres Jr.,31, as he attempted to cross into the United States.
Torres was escorted to a secondary examination and verification of a possible arrest warrant for sexual assault in a case from Olivia, Minnesota.
The warrants were confirmed and Torres was arrested and turned over to the Hidalgo County Sheriff's Office to be extradited back to Minnesota.
