The 'cover of night' doesn't really apply for prostitutes in the Valley, it appears daytime is more lucrative, Na'tassia Finley reports on complaints from residents to police about streetwalkers prompted a crackdown.

Day or night, they walk the streets offering up sex for money, but in the day, the client pool tends to be better, more people on the streets, means more opportunity.

In response to those complaints, the Brownsville PD put a task force together and conducted several stings, cleaning the streets of those women and even a man.

Over the last two days seven people have been arrested on prostitution charges and the Cameron County DA's Office is assisting in the legalities of the stings.
