Crews Surveying for Standing Water in Prevention of Mosquito Breeding

MCALLEN — The City of McAllen is helping residents and businesses recover from last weeks storm by looking out for standing water.
City crews are surveying the city for standing water in an effort to prevent mosquitoes from breeding. Assistant City Manager Pilar Rodriguez stated, "We are looking throughout the city for any standing water large enough so we can treat it to prevent larva stages, in two to three days we will be spraying for mosquitos."
