Couple detained at port of entry for violations of immigration law
BROWNSVILLE, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — Custom and Border Protection officers detained a woman for attempting to cross into the United States illegally.
The woman, 28, and her boyfriend, Nicaraguan citizen who resides in Apex, North Carolina, attempted to enter the country on a motorcycle and were sent to a secondary inspection booth. The couple submitted two valid permanent resident cards to the officer and after searching a CBP database it was discovered the document for the woman was issued to different individual not present.
Officers seized the document of both the woman and man and they were taken into custody for violations of immigration law.
