This was scene in front of the Cameron County Courthouse Tuesday, plenty of politiqueras chanting john wood and holding signs "5 votes count, we won", "Count my vote Pct. 54." Cameron county bailiffs' on were standby outside.

This comes after a recount over the weekend where numbers showed incumbent judge Carlos Cascos won, but the Democratic chairman says a tally sheet had not been counted and that John Wood had won by five votes.
We tried speaking with Cameron County Elections Administrator Roger Ortiz throughout the day. It wasn't until 5 PM when the office was closed and his staff and himself were escorted out. We had to the chance to see him. This what he had to say to our cameras.

"I don't have anything to announce, I don't have an announcement."

The democratic chairman says he met with Ortiz early Tuesday.

"He was looking at what he could do legally to bring this thing to a closure."

A decision has to be made by Friday because the Cameron County Commissioners court have posted the canvassing on Friday reporting.
