Concerned Community Following Middle School Stabbing
The town of La Grulla is usually a peaceful and safe place and so is their Middle School, but on Monday afternoon a stabbing took place inside La Grulla Middle School.
School officials say it began when two 8th grade boys had an altercation inside the school. That altercation led to one boy stabbed inside a classroom.
The boy suffered two wounds from the stabbing and was taken to a McAllen Hospital, he is expected to be okay. Meantime, the other 8th grader, a thirteen year old boy may face police charges.
Rio Grande City ISD Superintendent Roel A. Gonzalez says police continue to investigate the stabbing, but assure parents and students that safety is priority inside the schools.
