College Students to be Required to have Meningitis Vaccination
McALLEN - Well if you're heading back to South Texas College for the spring semester, you'll need more than a new backpack and notebook.
The state's new mandate, regarding bacterial meningitis vaccinations, takes affect this month and is expected to impact as many as four thousand South Texas students as they return to school next week. Students will have until the 27th of January to provide vaccination documentation or they won't be able to enroll for the spring semester. The college will be open with extended hours this weekend to assist students in the process.
