We have learned that a 22 year man has died now the search is on for a 12 and 18 year old that are missing.

By air, water, and on land the Coast Guard, Constables and other agencies are searching for  12 and 18 year old brothers from the Brownsville Matamoros area.

"Helicopters, all our planes, a coast guard cutter from Corpus Christi."

The Coast Guard tells us all three were swimming last night just after sunset. They got a call that swimmers were in distress. Constables tells us the body of 22 year old Ivan Bolado was found in the water near the Jetti's Wednesday night. He was cousins of the two that are missing. The Coast Guard brought the body that was unresponsive to shore where South Padre Island Fire Department administered CPR. He was then transferred by helicopter to a hospital in Harlingen and later died.

Longtime surfer and former life guard Gene Gore helping in the search.

"I don't think the rescue crews had gone on the rocks yet so I wanted to give it a shot see if I could find them but no luck."

Currently there is a red flag warning and officials are encouraging people to be careful if going in the water.

"Defiantly above average conditions it's rough for even experience swimmers its really strong rip currents If your going in the water wear a life jacket if your going in the water bring a flotation device."

We are told the parents of those who are missing are from Mexico and are on the Island as the search continues.
