The Legislative session is only a few days away and grass root organizations are already gearing up to pound the pavement in Austin to make their voices heard.

At a press conference on Thursday afternoon three civil rights organizations announced that they will continue to protect the people of the Rio Grande Valley from injustices this Legislative session. LULAC, Texas Brown Berets and Doctor Hector Garcia AGIF Organization of Texas will be caravanning to the steps of the Texas Capitol on Sunday and arrive in Austin on Monday. They say they will fight against anti-constitutional laws aimed towards Hispanics.

The group expects to pick up more support along the way to Austin. If you like to attend, the caravan send off will be this Sunday at the Veterans Memorial Park in Edinburg at 1 PM.
