Money used to repair damages from Hurricane Dolly.
Two cities in the upper Valley received million of dollars to repair drainage systems and pipelines that were affected by Hurricane Dolly.
Congressman Henry Cuellar announced on Friday that more than $2.4 million dollars will go to Pharr and Palmview to repair damages caused by Hurricane Dolly in July of 2008. The funds come from the U.S. Housing and Urban Development Department through the Texas Department of Rural Affairs.
The City of Pharr will receive nearly $2.1 million dollars and Palmview will get $400,000 dollars in funding. The repairs in both cities should start within the next couple of weeks.
