WESLACO - The City of Weslaco has a new Texas Department of Public Safety facility to serve the residents.

The new DPS regional office started operating in December, but held a grand opening on Thursday to let the public know they are open for business. The 80th Legislature approved the funding of $32 million dollars to build the facility. The complex includes three buildings; a two story headquarter building, a driver's license facility and an ancillary building.
