HARLINGEN - The city has taken the first step to rescind the deannexation of two west side tracts as a vote was made on Tuesday afternoon by the city commission.

Originally, the commission voted to deannex the land on a three to two vote back in October and on Tuesday there was a first reading to reverse the decision. The commission is set to have a second and final meeting on the issue on January 4th.
