City of Edinburg Names New City Manager
EDINBURG - The City of Edinburg has a new City Manager after Ramiro Garza was place on administrative leave.
City leaders chose Fire Chief Shawn Snider to fill the position for now. Snider has held numerous leadership roles within the community including Emergency Management Coordinator, President for the State Firemen and Fire Marshal's Association. Snider says he plans to continue where Garza left off saying, "We need to continue the momentum that we have right now and the progress that the city has, the growth, the economic opportunities that the city has on commercial and residential through his leadership, The things that are really showing through his leadership, I just want to continue that during this time."
