City of McAllen's Fourth of July parade
McAllen, TEXAS (KVEO NEWSCENTER 23) — What's more American than hot dogs and apple pie? What about driving in large vehicles and waving out the windo, Kevin Lu takes us to Main Street in McAllen, where the barbecue isn't the only thing sizzling.
The specators at McAllen's Main Street parade haven't forgotten the meaning of Independence Day. They stood and applauded when military veterans passed by on the half mile parade route.
It was tough getting to the parade at the 9 a.m. start time even if you're up early. All along the parade route, it was sweltering, but that didn't stop thousands of people from coming out to take it all in.
