City if Ebinburg Hires New Police Chief

After months of searching the City of Edinburg announced they have a new Police Chief, Erin Murray brings us more on the new Chief of Police.

With over 30 years of experience, Edinburg is excited to announce Rolando Castaneda as their new Police Chief. He has worked as a DPS trooper, narcotics investigator and as a Sergeant for the Texas Rangers. Taking the time to find the right fit for the city and that was ready to stay as Police Chief for a while was a top priority for the selection committee. Castaneda is excited to start, but knows some ground work must be laid first in the department and  officially starts May 2nd.
