CITY OF HIDALGO — The City of Hidalgo received some international recognition at the 2012 Sponsor Summit at the State Farm arena on Tuesday. The event, named "Celebrating the Cultural Treasures of Mexico", which was presented by the Kraft company. The city was awarded for two of their big festivals as Shalimar Madrigal stated, "The City of Hidalgo is proud to announce two international awards which they have received, one for Border Fest and the Festival of Lights by the International Festival of Events Association."
