In Harlingen, city officials on Thursday kicked off their Centennial Celebration with a flag raising ceremony outside of City Hall.

The flag was designed especially for this 100 year anniversary that commemorates the founding of the city. The flag will be on display along with the American and Texas flag at City Hall. Mayor Chris Boswell says he hopes all community members will get involved with the centennial celebration which continues till April 15, 2010.
