City of Brownsville launches new mobile app
BROWNSVILLE, TX — The City of Brownsville has introduced a new mobile web application (app) that allows citizens to quickly have access to all things Brownsville. The app ‘Access Brownsville’ is powered by GovQA and will allow users to easily submit requests for service, ask questions and find up to date information on the City operations and events.
Service requests are routed directly to appropriate City departments for rapid action, and users will be notified when the status of an individual request has changed. Along with service requests, ‘Access Brownsville’ provides important information such as weather reports, brush and trash pick-up schedules, and City news and employment postings, as well as Emergency Management information such as disaster preparedness tips, evacuation routes, and more!
The ‘Access Brownsville’ app is web-based, so it can be used through iPhone, Android and Blackberry devices, as well as computers, laptops and tablets. It is now available for free download for Apple and Android phones from their respective online stores.
The purpose of the new mobile app is to provide greater access by the residents of Brownsville to their municipal government with instant access to vast amounts of information on the services and operation of the City. It’s new, it’s free, and it’s now available for iPhone, iPads, and Android smartphone and tablets!
